Role Responsibilities:
- Provide medical leadership and oversight for the veterinary team
- Establish and maintain standards of clinical excellence and patient care
- Mentor associate veterinarians and support staff
- Foster a collaborative, positive, and accountable workplace culture
- Lead medical operations and support hospital performance goals
- Develop and implement medical protocols and quality improvement initiatives
- Partner with operational leadership to support growth and strategic planning
- Maintain an active clinical caseload through examinations, diagnostics, and surgery
- Build strong relationships with clients and the local community
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of veterinary team members
Job Applicant Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) degree
- Active veterinary license or ability to obtain licensure in the state of practice
- Three or more years of clinical experience preferred
- Previous leadership, mentorship, or management experience preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence and team development
- Passion for leadership, collaboration, and continuous improvement
