Role Responsibilities:
- Provide preventive, wellness, and sick-patient care for companion animals and exotic species
- Diagnose and treat a broad range of medical conditions across multiple species
- Perform routine surgical procedures appropriate to experience, including companion animal and exotic pet surgeries
- Develop diagnostic and treatment plans utilizing advanced diagnostic equipment and laboratory resources
- Educate clients on preventive healthcare, nutrition, husbandry, and treatment options for companion animals and exotic pets
- Build strong client relationships through compassionate communication and education
- Maintain complete and accurate medical records
- Collaborate with veterinary colleagues and support staff to provide exceptional patient care
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality medicine while supporting the continued growth of the practice
- Continue developing clinical skills through mentorship, collaboration, and continuing education
Job Applicant Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) degree
- Eligible for or currently licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the applicable state
- Interest in practicing both companion animal and exotic animal medicine
- Experience with exotic species is preferred, although mentorship may be available depending on the practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
