Medical Director – AAHA-Accredited Hospital and Leadership Opportunity

JOB-4791

The Job Opportunity:

A well-established small animal hospital is seeking an experienced Medical Director to provide clinical leadership while continuing to practice high-quality medicine. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys mentoring colleagues, collaborating with a supportive management team, and helping shape a culture centered on evidence-based medicine and continuous improvement.

The Medical Lead Veterinarian will serve as a clinical role model for the DVM team, helping associate veterinarians develop their skills and achieve their professional goals. The role combines hands-on patient care with meaningful leadership responsibilities, offering an ideal balance for a veterinarian who wants to make a broader impact without stepping away from clinical practice.

The hospital values clinical autonomy, teamwork, professional growth, and excellent patient and client care. The successful candidate will have access to leadership development, structured mentorship resources, continuing education, and the support of a larger veterinary network.

Practice Information:
This is a full-service small animal hospital committed to maintaining high standards of patient care and medical excellence. The hospital is AAHA-accredited, demonstrating a commitment to rigorous standards for quality, safety, and veterinary medicine.
The practice fosters a collaborative environment in which veterinarians have access to additional clinical resources and internal specialty consultation when cases require advanced diagnostics or treatment planning. This allows the medical team to approach complex cases with confidence while maintaining a strong emphasis on evidence-based care. Note: This position offers the opportunity to combine meaningful clinical practice with medical leadership in an AAHA-accredited environment. The hospital is particularly well suited for a veterinarian who enjoys mentoring others, practicing high-quality medicine, and helping build a positive, collaborative team culture.
