This busy 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital operates from a modern, approximately 36,000-square-foot facility designed to support advanced emergency, critical care, and specialty medicine.  A large 24/7 intensive care unit is supported by highly trained veterinary technicians, criticalists, and experienced emergency clinicians.  The hospital also works closely with a partner specialty hospital, creating an expanded professional network for case consultation, shared expertise, and continuity of care.
Dedicated professional workspace is available for doctors to complete medical records, client communications, and other administrative responsibilities.  The hospital continues to expand its specialty capabilities, with services that may include:

• Emergency and critical care
• Internal medicine

• Medical oncology
• Radiation oncology

Advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities include:

• CT imaging
• Digital radiography
• Ultrasound

Role Responsibilities:
The Emergency Veterinarian will provide high-quality emergency and critical care while collaborating closely with the hospital’s multidisciplinary medical team. Responsibilities may include:

• Evaluate, stabilize, diagnose, and treat emergency and critically ill patients
• Develop individualized, evidence-based diagnostic and treatment plans
• Manage a diverse range of urgent and complex medical and surgical cases
• Utilize advanced diagnostic imaging and hospital technology when clinically appropriate
• Collaborate with criticalists, specialists, emergency clinicians, and veterinary technicians
• Facilitate specialty consultations and transfers when appropriate
• Communicate diagnoses, treatment recommendations, prognoses, and follow-up plans clearly and compassionately with pet owners
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records
• Support continuity of care between emergency, intensive care, and specialty services
• Participate in collaborative case discussions and ongoing clinical education
• Contribute to a respectful, supportive, and team-oriented hospital culture
• Pursue continuing education and professional development opportunities that support individual clinical interests and career goals

Job Applicant Requirements:
The ideal candidate is a confident, compassionate veterinarian who enjoys emergency medicine and values collaboration within a multidisciplinary hospital.

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree
• Eligibility for veterinary licensure in the state of practice
• Internship training or previous emergency veterinary experience
• Strong emergency medicine and clinical decision-making skills
• Commitment to evidence-based medicine and high standards of patient care
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency and critical care environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
