Role Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive preventive, medical, surgical, and dental care for companion animals
• Perform thorough physical examinations, diagnostic evaluations, and evidence-based treatment planning
• Develop individualized treatment plans focused on patient health, comfort, and quality of life
• Perform surgical and dental procedures consistent with experience and training
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and preventive care
• Utilize diagnostic tools and medical resources to support accurate clinical decision-making
• Prescribe medications while following pharmacy and controlled substance protocols
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records
• Collaborate with fellow veterinarians, technicians, and hospital leadership to provide exceptional patient care
• Participate in medical discussions, continuing education opportunities, and quality improvement initiatives
• Support a culture of mentorship, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the hospital

Job Applicant Requirements:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) degree from an accredited veterinary college
• Active veterinary license or ability to obtain licensure in the applicable state
• DEA registration or ability to obtain and maintain registration, if required
• Previous clinical experience preferred
• Strong diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental skills
• Commitment to practicing evidence-based veterinary medicine
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and client service skills
