Role Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive medical and preventive care for dogs and cats
• Perform thorough physical examinations and develop appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans
• Manage routine wellness visits as well as more involved medical cases
• Practice evidence-based medicine while maintaining high standards of patient care
• Utilize modern diagnostic technology, including digital radiography and ultrasound, when appropriate
• Incorporate Fear Free techniques and patient-centered handling whenever possible
• Explore appropriate alternative medicine options when beneficial to patients
• Communicate diagnoses, treatment options, and recommendations clearly and compassionately with clients
• Build strong, trusting relationships with clients and their pets
• Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and other members of the care team
• Participate in continuing education and professional development
• Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-oriented practice culture
• Support and mentor colleagues while continuing to develop clinical skills
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records
• Uphold the highest standards of veterinary ethics and patient care

Job Applicant Requirements:

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent graduate of an accredited veterinary program
• Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Texas or eligible to obtain licensure
• Committed to evidence-based medicine and exceptional patient care
• Compassionate, empathetic, and dedicated to the wellbeing of patients and their families
• Comfortable treating both routine wellness cases and more complex medical conditions
• Interested in utilizing modern veterinary technology and diagnostic tools
• A strong communicator who enjoys developing trusting client relationships
• A collaborative team member who enjoys teaching, learning, and sharing knowledge
• Curious and committed to lifelong professional development
