This position offers an exceptional opportunity for an Overnight Emergency Veterinarian seeking to practice high-quality emergency medicine in a collaborative specialty referral hospital equipped with advanced technology, including 3D Spiral CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, C-arm imaging, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, a Linear Accelerator, and I-131 therapy. Role Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage emergency and critically ill patients using evidence-based medicine.
- Stabilize patients requiring urgent or intensive medical intervention while developing individualized treatment plans.
- Perform emergency procedures utilizing advanced diagnostic equipment and in-house laboratory resources to support timely clinical decision-making.
- Work closely with the Critical Care team and board-certified specialists to provide seamless multidisciplinary patient care.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding diagnoses, treatment recommendations, prognosis, and ongoing care.
- Maintain comprehensive medical records and communicate effectively with referring veterinarians when appropriate.
- Participate in mentoring interns and veterinary students while contributing to a collaborative educational environment.
- Engage in continuing education, clinical studies, and professional development opportunities that promote medical excellence and lifelong learning.
Job Applicant Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent veterinary degree from an accredited institution.
- Eligibility for veterinary licensure in the applicable state.
- Commitment to practicing evidence-based medicine while maintaining the highest standards of veterinary ethics.
- Strong clinical judgment and confidence managing emergency and critical care cases.
- Excellent diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills.
