Associate Veterinarian – Fear Free, AAHA-Accredited Small Animal & Exotics Practice

JOB-6010

The Job Opportunity:
The right veterinary team should give a doctor the confidence to practice independently, the support to ask questions freely, and the opportunity to keep discovering where their interests can take them.

An established, multi-doctor companion animal hospital is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join a collaborative and genuinely supportive medical team. This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who wants to practice thoughtful, evidence-based medicine while working alongside experienced colleagues who enjoy exchanging ideas, discussing cases, and helping one another continue to grow.

Both experienced veterinarians and new graduates are encouraged to apply. Experienced doctors will find an environment where their knowledge, clinical judgment, and individual interests are valued, while newer veterinarians can benefit from structured mentorship and professional development designed to build confidence, strengthen skills, and gradually develop greater clinical independence.

For veterinarians interested in adding even more variety to their day, the hospital also cares for exotic companion animals, including birds, reptiles, and small mammals. Previous exotic animal experience is welcomed but not required, making this an appealing opportunity for a doctor who already enjoys exotic medicine or someone interested in expanding their skills in the future.

For a veterinarian looking for good medicine, supportive colleagues, and the freedom to keep growing in the direction that interests them most, this practice offers plenty of room to build a rewarding career.

Practice Information:
This AAHA-accredited hospital has maintained its accreditation for more than four decades and operates from a modern, state-of-the-art facility thoughtfully designed to reduce stress for patients and create an exceptional client experience.

The hospital embraces Fear Free® principles throughout the practice, with the majority of the veterinary team holding Fear Free® Certification. Patient comfort is prioritized through species-specific treatment areas, separate waiting spaces for dogs and other companion animals, calming environmental features, and low-stress handling techniques.

The practice is also committed to hands-free radiology, with a high level of compliance supporting team safety and patient care. A large, experienced team of veterinarians, credentialed technicians, assistants, and client service professionals works together to provide comprehensive medical and surgical services while fostering a collaborative learning environment.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide compassionate, evidence-based medical, surgical, and preventive care for companion animals

  • A collaborative mindset and passion for delivering outstanding patient care
  • An interest in professional growth, mentorship, and lifelong learning
  • Experience with birds, reptiles, and small mammals is welcomed but not required
