Mobile Veterinarian

JOB-6344

Job Opportunity:
A mobile veterinary practice is seeking a compassionate and motivated veterinarian to provide high-quality, evidence-based care to pets in the comfort of their homes. This opportunity is well suited to a veterinarian who values meaningful client relationships, individualized patient care, and a collaborative approach to veterinary medicine.

The role offers the opportunity to practice medicine in a mobile setting while continuing to develop clinical skills, build professional confidence, and contribute to a positive experience for pets and their families.

Practice Information:
The practice is part of an independent veterinary group with multiple locations and a commitment to accessible, high-quality veterinary care. Its mobile service brings veterinary expertise directly to clients, helping reduce barriers to care and allowing pets to receive treatment in a familiar environment.

The mobile service provides a range of veterinary care, including routine wellness services, diagnostic imaging, acupuncture, and compassionate end-of-life care. This approach supports individualized treatment plans and thoughtful, evidence-based medical decision-making.

The practice emphasizes teamwork, client communication, and continued learning, creating an environment where veterinarians can develop their skills while delivering compassionate care.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive veterinary care to pets in their home environments
  • Perform wellness examinations, preventive care, and diagnostic assessments
  • Develop individualized treatment plans guided by current veterinary evidence and each patient’s needs
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners about diagnoses, treatment options, and ongoing care
  • Provide appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic services, including radiography, acupuncture, and end-of-life support, as indicated by clinical needs and the veterinarian’s training
  • Build trusting relationships with clients and support informed, shared decision-making
  • Maintain accurate medical records and follow established standards of veterinary practice
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to promote continuity of care and positive patient outcomes
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to a supportive learning culture

Job Applicant Requirements:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary program
  • Eligibility for veterinary licensure in the applicable state
  • A commitment to evidence-based medicine, patient welfare, and high standards of clinical care
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their pets
  • An adaptable, thoughtful approach to clinical decision-making in a mobile care environment
  • A collaborative attitude and interest in ongoing professional growth
  • The ability to work independently while recognizing when consultation or additional support is appropriate

Veterinarians with an interest in preventive medicine, diagnostic imaging, acupuncture, or palliative and end-of-life care may find this opportunity particularly rewarding. Support and mentorship may be available to help clinicians continue developing their interests and clinical capabilities.

Compensation & Benefits May Include:
Competitive compensation is available, with options designed to reflect experience, qualifications, and the structure of the role.

The benefits package may include:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Retirement savings options
  • Continuing education support and professional development resources
  • Individualized mentorship and opportunities to strengthen clinical skills
  • Potential assistance with relocation, where applicable
  • Opportunities for career development within a collaborative veterinary practice environment

The practice aims to support veterinarians in building sustainable careers through continued learning, professional collaboration, and a shared commitment to high-quality, compassionate veterinary care.
