• Approximately 4–6 support team members per veterinarian

• Role Responsibilities:
• Performing comprehensive examinations and patient assessments
• Diagnosing and treating a variety of urgent medical conditions
• Developing individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
• Performing appropriate urgent care procedures
• Communicating diagnoses and treatment recommendations clearly with clients
• Providing compassionate, patient-centered care
• Maintaining accurate medical records with support from the care team
• Collaborating closely with veterinary technicians and other hospital team members
• Recognizing cases requiring emergency care, hospitalization, specialty consultation, or referral
• Participating in continuing education and professional development
• Contributing to a positive, respectful, and team-oriented hospital culture

Common cases may include:

• Allergic reactions
• Vomiting and diarrhea
• Ear and eye conditions
• Dermatologic concerns and external parasites
• Wounds and lacerations
• Lethargy and decreased appetite
• Pain and lameness
• Respiratory conditions
• Toxin ingestion
• Urinary concerns
• Job Applicant Requirements:
• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university or equivalent
• Veterinary licensure in good standing, or the ability to obtain licensure in the state
• A commitment to evidence-based medicine and the highest standards of patient care
• Strong diagnostic and clinical reasoning skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A collaborative approach to working with veterinary and support teams
• A genuine passion for helping pets and their families
• An interest in continued professional development and lifelong learning
• A commitment to the veterinary code of ethics
