The Job Opportunity:
An established AAHA-accredited small animal hospital is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its collaborative and supportive medical team.
This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who values evidence-based medicine, clinical autonomy, mentorship, advanced clinical resources, and a sustainable work-life balance. The hospital provides a broad range of services, including preventive medicine, internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, urgent care, emergency stabilization, and advanced diagnostics.
The position offers a four-day workweek with weekends closed, providing doctors with predictable time away from the hospital. Veterinarians participate in a light, shared after-hours emergency arrangement coordinated with neighboring veterinary practices, helping distribute emergency responsibilities across a broader medical community.
Doctors are supported by an approximately 4:1 staff-to-doctor ratio, including credentialed veterinary technicians and experienced support professionals who are encouraged to work to the full extent of their skills.
Both experienced veterinarians and newer doctors are encouraged to apply. New team members receive individualized onboarding, and mentorship can include longer appointment times, case collaboration, and additional support while building confidence and developing a comfortable caseload.
The hospital encourages doctors to pursue individual clinical interests, strengthen surgical and dental skills, explore new areas of medicine, and continue growing throughout their careers.
