Associate Veterinarian (Internal Med Focused) Stunning, Multi-DVM Small Animal Facility with Incredible Production Potential + No Weekends!

JOB-6378

The Job Opportunity:
An established, high-volume small animal hospital is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian with at least five years of clinical experience, strong diagnostic abilities, and advanced proficiency in ultrasound. This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys internal medicine workups, abdominal ultrasound, preventive medicine, and practicing thorough, high-level medicine in a well-supported clinical environment.

The successful candidate will join a medical-forward general practice with a dynamic walk-in caseload and substantial surgical depth already in place. The role is designed for an experienced clinician who values professional autonomy, strong technician support, diagnostic depth, and the opportunity to provide accessible, evidence-based medicine while continuing to develop professionally.

Practice Information:
This long-established small animal hospital has built a strong regional reputation for high-quality veterinary care. Its modern, state-of-the-art facility provides approximately 9,000 square feet of dedicated clinical space, with specialized areas for cats, large dogs, intensive care, surgical recovery, shelter quarantine, respiratory quarantine, and parvovirus quarantine.

The hospital operates as a busy walk-in practice with a diverse and engaging medical caseload. Structured systems and a true 7:1 staff-to-doctor ratio allow veterinarians to focus on patient care rather than logistical demands, while experienced support staff provide strong clinical assistance throughout the day.

The practice combines advanced medical diagnostics with established surgical capabilities and a collaborative team culture. The environment is performance-oriented without sacrificing patient care or professional autonomy, making it well suited to experienced veterinarians who enjoy problem-solving, complex cases, and continuously improving their clinical skills.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive small animal medical and preventive care in a high-volume walk-in practice
  • Evaluate and manage complex medical cases using thorough, evidence-based diagnostic approaches

  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care
  • Participate in continuing education and ongoing professional development

  • Active veterinary license or eligibility for licensure in the practicing state
  • Minimum of 5 years of small animal clinical experience
  • High proficiency in abdominal ultrasound
  • Echocardiography experience preferred
  • Strong interest in internal medicine and diagnostic medicine
  • Comfort managing complex medical cases
  • Strong clinical judgment and medical decision-making abilities
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients, coworkers, and support staff
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • High level of clinical efficiency in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to evidence-based medicine, professionalism, and continuous improvement
  • Production-minded approach with an emphasis on maintaining high standards of patient care

Compensation & Benefits May Include:

  • Competitive salaried compensation with production-based earning opportunities
  • Long-term cash incentive program tied to production performance
  • Performance-based earning potential designed to reward clinical productivity

  • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • Student loan assistance opportunities
  • Generous continuing education and professional development support
