Role Responsibilities:
- Providing preventive, wellness, and medical care for small animal and exotic patients
- Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating sick and injured patients
- Developing individualized, evidence-based diagnostic and treatment plans
- Managing internal medicine cases
- Performing soft tissue surgical procedures based on experience and clinical interests
- Providing comprehensive dental care and utilizing digital dental radiography
- Managing appropriate urgent and emergency presentations
- Utilizing ultrasound and other advanced diagnostic resources when clinically appropriate
- Participating in oncology and chemotherapy case management when appropriate to training and experience
- Communicating diagnoses, recommendations, and treatment options clearly and compassionately with clients
- Maintaining accurate and timely medical records
- Collaborating with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff
- Incorporating Fear Free principles into patient care
- Supporting hands-free radiology safety practices
- Participating in mentorship, continuing education, and collaborative case discussions
Job Applicant Requirements:
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent
- Eligibility for veterinary licensure in the state of practice
- A commitment to high-quality, evidence-based veterinary medicine
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
