An established veterinary practice is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its collaborative and relationship-focused medical team. This opportunity is well suited to a veterinarian who values evidence-based medicine, clinical autonomy, professional development, and long-term relationships with clients and their pets. The hospital offers a varied caseload and encourages doctors to pursue their individual clinical interests while having colleagues available for collaboration and case discussion.
The position may be a particularly good fit for a veterinarian interested in expanding surgical, diagnostic, ophthalmic, or exotic animal skills.

Practice Information:
The hospital is a well-established practice with a loyal client base and a diverse patient population.
While dogs and cats make up an important part of the caseload, the practice also sees pigs, guinea pigs, rabbits, and other appropriate species. An interest in exotic animal medicine is welcomed but is not required. Experience with exotic species, orthopedic surgery, ultrasound, or ophthalmology is welcome but is not required.

The hospital is equipped with a range of diagnostic and treatment capabilities, including:

• Digital radiography
• Ultrasound
• Orthopedic surgical capabilities
• EKG
• Tono-Pen for ophthalmic diagnostics
• Ophthalmology capabilities
• General surgical and medical resources

Role Responsibilities:

• Providing preventive, wellness, and medical care
• Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating sick and injured patients
• Developing individualized, evidence-based diagnostic and treatment plans
• Performing medical and surgical procedures based on experience and clinical interests
• Utilizing digital radiography, ultrasound, and other diagnostic resources
• Managing ophthalmic cases and utilizing available ophthalmic diagnostic equipment when appropriate
• Participating in orthopedic procedures based on training, experience, and interest
• Providing care for exotic species when aligned with the veterinarian’s interests and experience
• Communicating clearly and compassionately with clients
• Maintaining accurate and timely medical records
• Collaborating with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff
• Participating in continuing education, mentorship, and professional development
• Contributing to a respectful and supportive hospital culture

Job Applicant Requirements:

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent
• Eligibility for veterinary licensure in the state of practice
• A commitment to high-quality, evidence-based veterinary medicine
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A collaborative and compassionate approach to patient care
