Role Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive wellness, preventive, medical, dental, and surgical care for small animal patients
- Develop individualized diagnostic and treatment plans utilizing evidence-based medicine
- Perform routine surgical and dental procedures appropriate to experience
- Evaluate and manage urgent-care and medical cases
- Diagnose and treat dermatologic and other common medical conditions
- Utilize digital radiography, in-house diagnostics, laser therapy, and patient monitoring technology to support patient care
- Educate clients regarding preventive healthcare, diagnostics, treatment recommendations, nutrition, and long-term wellness
- Build strong, lasting relationships with clients through compassionate communication and education
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to provide exceptional patient care
- Participate in continuing education and ongoing professional development
- Support a collaborative hospital culture centered on teamwork, accountability, and medical excellence
- Mentor and support colleagues and veterinary team members through knowledge sharing and collaborative case management
- Contribute to continuous improvement in clinical standards, patient care, and hospital workflows
Job Applicant Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary university
- Active veterinary license without restrictions in the state of Michigan or eligibility for licensure
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong clinical judgment and medical decision-making abilities
