Role Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a diverse range of emergency and critical care cases
- Stabilize trauma patients and manage complex medical emergencies using evidence-based medicine
- Treat acute illnesses, toxicities, metabolic emergencies, neurologic cases, and other urgent conditions
- Collaborate closely with specialty services to develop comprehensive diagnostic and treatment plans
- Utilize advanced imaging and diagnostic technology to support patient care
- Perform emergency procedures appropriate to experience and clinical interests, with opportunities to expand surgical skills
- Educate clients regarding diagnostics, treatment options, and ongoing patient care
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
- Participate in continuing education, mentorship, and collaborative case discussions
Job Applicant Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Eligibility for veterinary licensure in the applicable state
- Commitment to practicing high-quality, evidence-based emergency medicine
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced referral environment
