Role Responsibilities:
- Triage, evaluate, stabilize, diagnose, and treat emergency patients
- Provide intensive and critical care for hospitalized patients
- Develop individualized diagnostic and treatment plans utilizing evidence-based medicine
- Perform emergency and other surgical procedures appropriate to experience
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and interpret results to guide patient care
- Manage a diverse range of urgent and emergency medical presentations
- Provide ongoing monitoring and supportive care for critically ill patients
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, prognosis, and follow-up recommendations
- Build strong relationships with clients through compassionate communication and education during stressful situations
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
- Collaborate closely with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, client service representatives, and hospital leadership
- Participate in case discussions, mentorship, continuing education, and ongoing professional development
- Pursue continued growth in emergency medicine, critical care, diagnostics, and surgery
- Contribute to a collaborative hospital culture centered on teamwork, medical excellence, and exceptional patient care
Job Applicant Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary university
- Active veterinary license or eligibility for licensure in the practicing state
- New graduates and experienced veterinarians are welcome to apply
