Role Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical leadership while maintaining an active caseload within their specialty

• Mentor specialists, emergency veterinarians, interns, and clinical staff while fostering professional growth and career development
• Partner with hospital leadership to support strategic planning, quality improvement initiatives, and operational success
• Encourage multidisciplinary collaboration to optimize patient outcomes and client experiences
• Support recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and retention of outstanding veterinary professionals
• Champion continuing education, clinical research, innovation, and lifelong learning throughout the hospital
• Build and strengthen relationships with referring veterinarians while supporting the hospital’s reputation for clinical excellence
• Uphold the highest standards of veterinary medicine and professional ethics

Job Applicant Requirements:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent veterinary degree from an accredited institution
• Board certification in a recognized veterinary specialty or completion of an approved residency program with board eligibility
• Eligibility for veterinary licensure in the applicable state
• Demonstrated commitment to practicing evidence-based medicine and maintaining the highest standards of patient care
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and mentor others
