The Job Opportunity:
A large, established emergency and specialty referral hospital is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Criticalist to join its growing multidisciplinary team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Criticalist who loves the challenge and complexity of critical care medicine but also values having an experienced team and exceptional clinical resources behind them. The incoming veterinarian will have access to a dedicated intensive care unit, mechanical ventilation, telemetry, advanced patient monitoring, CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, endoscopy, laparoscopy, and other sophisticated diagnostic and treatment capabilities.
Just as importantly, this is a hospital where collaboration is part of everyday medicine. Criticalists work alongside boarded specialists, experienced emergency veterinarians, highly trained veterinary technicians, and other clinical professionals to develop thoughtful, evidence-based treatment plans for some of the hospital’s most complex patients.
The hospital recognizes that exceptional critical care requires more than technology. It requires strong communication, skilled support professionals, collaboration across specialties, and a team that can rely on one another when cases become challenging.
Teaching and mentorship are also meaningful parts of the hospital culture. Established house officer programs provide opportunities for specialists who enjoy education to teach, mentor, participate in case discussions, and help develop the next generation of veterinary professionals.
For a Criticalist looking for sophisticated medicine, multidisciplinary collaboration, opportunities to teach, and the resources to continue growing professionally, this position offers an environment where they can make a meaningful impact on both patients and colleagues.
